Product Description
Grade 1.4845 stainless steel is one of the most widely used grades of heat resistant stainless steel supplied into numerous industry sectors. The key properties of this material are its high chromium and medium nickel content making its resistance to oxidation, sulfidation and other forms of hot corrosion its main characteristics. Whilst retaining good strength when exposed to high temperatures, like most austenitic grades this grade will also maintain its strength and toughness at sub-zero temperatures. Overall this grade is an excellent choice for various applications ranging from furnace components to burner tips. 1.4845 has a maximum dry air service temperature of 1100ºC.
