Silicon steel or electrical steel, is a very low carbon content of ferrosilicon soft magnetic alloy steel, usually silicon content of 0.5% ~ 4.5%. The addition of silicon can increase the resistivity and maximum permeability of iron, thus reducing the coercivity, iron loss and magnetic aging.
